Part-time Cashier and Garden Centre Associate Positions Available at Canadian Tire Langford
 
Canadian Tire Langford is currently seeking part-time cashiers to work both inside the store and outside in our Garden Center. Part-time are 16 - 24 hours per week with the opportunity for increased hours in our garden center over the summer break.
The Cashier team member works in a fast-paced environment that involves constant interaction with customers. This position requires delivering friendly and courteous service while processing customer purchases efficiently and correctly. In the spring and summer the cashiers also assist in the Garden Centre.
Hourly rate starts at $16.04.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
  • Smiles, greets and thanks customers.
  • Directs customer to the location of requested items.
  • Responds to and handles customer inquiries, requests and concerns in a timely manner, over the phone and in person.
  • Operates cash register and all point of sales functions.
  • Processes customer purchases and returns accurately and efficiently, following standardized procedures.
  • Maintains merchandise around the cash area and ensures that retail basics are executed efficiently (e.g., labels, facing, clean area, etc.).
  • When in the Garden Center, assists with plant watering receiving plant orders and plant inventory.
 
Requirements and Competencies:
  • Must be available for weekend and evening shifts.
  • Ability to provide professional customer service
  • Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to complete tasks according to instructions and demonstrate responsibility for outcomes
  • Ability to remain productive at all times through self-direction when necessary
